Which Airwolf?
Airwolf, the modified Bell 222 from the 1980s television series, is the fuselage people ask us for by name. Four makers in our range produce one, which means you can have an Airwolf at almost any budget and skill level.
At the small end is the RC ERA A61 mini: a gyro-stabilised indoor helicopter in Airwolf colours that costs less than a night out. Flywing's Airwolf V2 puts the fuselage on a 450-class mechanic with the H1 GPS controller, so it self-levels and holds position. FLISHRC offers the Airwolf V5 Pro at 450 class and the V2 Pro at 500 class, both GPS-stabilised and ready to fly. Roban's 470-size RTF is the classic scale pilot's choice, and the 800-size ARF is the one with the 1.8-metre rotor disc.
Whichever you pick, the twin-tail and that nose are unmistakable in the air.
- Mini (RC ERA A61)
- Indoor, gyro-stabilised, under 250g so no registration. The right one for a child or for a desk.
- Flywing Airwolf V2
- 450-class with GPS self-levelling and the lowest price for a proper scale Airwolf. Flies from a park.
- FLISHRC V5 Pro and V2 Pro
- 450 and 500-class, GPS-stabilised, more fuselage detail. The V2 Pro is the one for a serious scale pilot who still wants stabilisation.
- Roban 470 RTF and 800 ARF
- Conventional flybarless flight on the 470; a full club-field build on the 800. Maximum realism.
- Which Airwolf RC helicopter is best for a beginner?
- The Flywing Airwolf V2 or FLISHRC Airwolf V5 Pro. Both are GPS-stabilised 450-class helicopters that hold a hover by themselves. For indoor practice first, the RC ERA A61 mini.
- Is the Roban Airwolf 800 ready to fly?
- No. It is an ARF kit: fuselage, scale head and mechanics. You fit servos, flybarless controller, motor, ESC, receiver and 12S batteries.
- Does the Airwolf have retracts and lights?
- The Roban and FLISHRC models have retractable landing gear and lighting provision; the Flywing has fixed scale gear. Check each product page for exactly what is fitted.
- Do you stock Airwolf spares?
- Yes for the FLISHRC Airwolf mechanical assembly and Flywing parts, plus batteries and chargers for each. Email for Roban fuselage parts.

Flywing vs FLISHRC: which scale RC helicopter should you start with?
Two scale brands, the same fly-it-not-build-it idea — but a £900 gap in price and a real gap in size and detail. Where Flywing's affordable ships end and FLISHRC's premium FL500 V2 range begins.

Roban vs FLISHRC: which scale RC helicopter brand should you buy?
Two names dominate affordable scale helicopters — and they share more than buyers realise. The airframes come from the same place; the electronics are where they split, and where FLISHRC pulls ahead.
