What we collect, and why.
Short version: we collect what we need to take your order and get it to you, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
When you order
To process an order we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and delivery address, plus the items you bought. We use this to take payment, dispatch your order, send you confirmation and tracking emails and deal with any return or warranty claim. We keep order records for as long as UK tax law requires, currently six years.
Payment
Card payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal. Your card number never touches our servers; it goes straight to the payment provider, who tells us only whether the payment succeeded. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing what they hold.
Your cart
We set one cookie so your cart survives between pages and visits. It holds a reference to your cart, not personal details. It expires after a period of inactivity.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where from, and on what kind of device. This is aggregated and we don’t use it to identify you. You can block it with any standard tracker-blocking browser extension and the site will work normally.
Who we share it with
Your delivery details go to the courier delivering your order and to the warehouse that packs it. Payment details go to Stripe or PayPal as described above. We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone else for marketing.
We email you about your order. We don’t add you to a marketing list without asking.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the records we must keep for tax purposes). Email hello@rc-helicopters.co.uk and we’ll respond within a month.
